Stride Rite Review

For over eighty-five years, the company has designed and engineered footwear specifically to meet the needs of growing children. Stride Rite's mission is to encourage kids and support parents by developing and marketing products that help children embrace life's possibilities and adventures with confidence. The brand motto is "Life's Waiting. Let's Go."  That was taken directly from the site but I thought it was important enough I should share it with you. 

Stride Rite is a leader and innovator in childrens footwear.  The are continously researching and engineering high quality footwear for our growing kids feets.  Stride Rite has shoes that fit all the way from baby up to size 5 in big girls. 

Stride Rite has a 3-point testing system they believe shoes must be tough enough to stand up to our kids, I know mine can be rough on shoes so it can sometimes be hard to find shoes to stand up to my kids.  They put their shoes through extreme testing even before they allow them to be put on a childs foot.

1. FIT - 5 stages of fit testing on kids to ensure a perfect fit. 
2. WEAR - Between 30 to 45 day kid testing to make sure their shoes wear better then expected.
3. LAB - Rigorous lab tests make sure each new material and component they use meets Stride Rite standards.  They perform 30 to 40 tests per shoe.

We received the SRT Wallaroo boots to test, I requested that since we are headed into fall/winter we get something warmer but left the rest up to Stride Rite.  I absolutely am in love with these boots and so is Maddisyn, she likes to show them off to people and we have gotten perfect strangers stopping us in the mall to ask us where we bought them so that they could get a pair for their own kids.  She finds them comfortable and does not whine about her shoes or try to take them off after wearing them for an extended period of time like she does with some shoes.  I like them because they are soft and adorable and look awesome paired with an adorable pair of jeans.

These boots have a suede upper, have a zipper on the side to do them up, a self-molding footbed will cradle her heel, while a natural leather lining wicks away moisture and a faux fur collar adds comfort.  They even have a removable insole with Check fit system so you know when it is time to get new shoes.  Best of all they are enhanced with Stride Rites new Sensory Response Technology (SRT).  

Here is some info taken from Stride Rite about the SRT:
* Greater feel of terrain: Sensory pods in the forefoot of the outsole move independently of each other offering multiple reaction points, increasing a baby’s feel of the ground beneath them. This allows a baby to stabilize their gait and better respond to their environment.


* More natural support: Unique “hourglass” construction in the midfoot mirrors a baby’s foot structure to help supporting bones and muscles that are not yet fully developed. A smooth, rounded transition from outsole to upper prevents catching an edge, reducing the number of stumbles and falls.

* Freedom of movement: Ultra-flexible design allows the foot to move in many directions to help baby learn how to adapt to uneven surfaces.
