Baby's First Phone Call

February 1, 2010

I am the mother of four so as you can imagine we have had to make these calls 4 times over.  Not only that but we have a very large family with both my mom and dad remarried as well as Lee's mom remarried so we have like 6 families to call when our babies are born not to mention the friends that want to be notified as soon as our little bundle is born.  This is a very long process and then people get upset because we did not call them right away or we missed them.

Baby's First Phone Call is there to put an end to situations such as these ones.  It is an automated phone tree that gives you the ability to notify all your friends and family by simply making one call instead of 50.  You setup your account before the baby is born and input a list of names and phone numbers of the people you want notified when the baby is born.  Then after you have the baby you make one phone call, you leave a message with all those special details like sex, name, weight, length, time of birth and of course how mom and baby are doing.  You can also share the hospital name and your room number if you want visitors or ask that people wait and visit once your settled in at home.  The system then calls all the people on your list and they hear YOUR message, not some computer generated message, if they do not answer their phone then the message is left on their voicemail or answering machine.  Then there is the option for them to leave a message for you that you can pick up at your own convenience.

Baby's First Phone call offers a wide variety of packages starting at $10 dollars and going all the way up to $50.00 you can notify 10, 20, 30 or unlimited numbers of people depending on the package you choose.  Each call package comes with a convenient luggage tag intended to mark the bag you take to the hospital. The luggage tag includes the toll-free phone number to call and record your personal message when the baby arrives. You can also upgrade the packages and add 5 extra phone numbers for 2.50.  They also have this adorable onesie you can buy that says on it "I'm the One You Heard About" which would be precious for those first visits after your family gets your message.

This would make a really great baby shower gift as well for those friends of yours expecting or of course for yourself.

Now onto the great great part of it all you can win it for yourselves.  Sorry it is only available to readers from the US, the system will only make calls to numbers in the US and the 1-800 number is only accesible from the US.

I'd use it when our baby comes in August. Or maybe one of my friends who is also due in September.
