Back 2 Blogging #12 - Beyond Quilts Review/Giveaway ENDED

My daughter is all about her dolls and she carries them everywhere with her, she calls them her babies.  We recently inherited my mother in laws doll crib from when SHE was a child so this thing is 50 years old and still in great shape.  But a standard doll blanket or receiving blanket just didn't look right in it, so off I went on the web again in search of something fitting and i found Beyond Quilts.

Beyond Quilts is an Etsy store ran by a woman name Carolyn who has been sewing since she was a young girl and love to create fun and functional pieces for the whole family to enjoy.  She says sewing is a passion and an relaxing outlet for her.

I love all the products she offers on her site, she has really cool I Spy Quilts, Pet Cushions, gorgeous holiday Table Runners and of course the Doll Quilt and Pillow.

I contacted her about doing the review/giveaway for my Back 2 Blogging Bash and she was very happy to participate and allowed me to choose whichever doll quilt/pillow set we wanted to review and she would send it to us.  We choose the Butterfly one, she mailed it on the 27th and we received it on the 31st which was extremely quick in my opinion.

As soon as we opened it up my daughter snatched it away right away.  At first she was being silly and laying on the floor covering herself up with it while using the pillow for herself.  It was funny, I wish i would have had my camera handy to take some pictures but unfortunatley is was packed and ready to go to camp.  But then we took it and put it in her doll crib and showed her to tuck her baby in and she immediately started using it as such and constantly goes over and makes sure her baby is still covered up and gives her baby a little pat it is so cute.  I can only hope that when Maddisyn passes the doll crib to her own children that she can pass the quilt and pillow from Beyond Quilts with it as it is such a beautiful quilt I just know it will make a lovely family heirloom.
