Back 2 Blogging #14 - Mr Bobbles Blanket Review/Giveaway ENDED

Renee Sirulnik is the creator of Mr. Bobbles Blankets, she is a mom who has always loved sewing and creating things.  During the spring of 2000, the first of Renee's friends was taking the plunge into parenthood - with TWINS! For her baby shower, guests were asked to bring something stress relieving for the mother-to-be. Renee brought a 6-pack - but not just a regular 6-pack, a 6-pack of blankets for her precious new babies. Renee created six baby blankets presented in a cardboard 6-pack carrier covered in wrapping paper. The 6-pack of blankets was the hit of the shower, so she created a few more for other girlfriends also having babies that year.  Renee received excellent feedback from her friends about how much they loved the blankets and preferred them to designer blankets. 

In 2002 Renee had her first son and got to experience the blankets first hand and see how well they truly worked.  Mr. Bobbles Blankets was launched part time in the spring of 2003 when she began to ship blankets all over the world.  In late 2004 while pregnant with her second child Renee decided to leave her full time job in the computer field and devote her time to her growing business and her growing family.

The name Mr. Bobbles comes from her first son, he tried to lift his head the very first day he was born.  He was determined to roll, kick, move etc but was so wobbly and bobbly she started calling him Mr. Bobbles and when it was time to come up with a name for her new company Mr. Bobbles Blankets was a perfect fit.

We were asked what we would like to review but she has so many adorable items on her site it is a really hard decision sometimes.  So I told her that my daughter was transitioning to a toddler bed and we would love to do something that would fit onto her bed and also that the drag racers was adorable for my son but that we liked to be surprised.  She sure did a good job at surprising us, she sent Maddisyn a toddler pillow with TWO extra cases so we got three in total the ivory satin, bugs on pink and butterfly swirls percale.  She also sent Holden a blanket in the drag racer pattern which he loves to be covered with and play with.

The quality of Mr. Bobbles Blankets products is amazing, the material is so nice, it has held up nicely to my 2 year old playing with it and throwing it around and also to my 5 month old chewing, drooling and spitting up on it as well as multiple washings.  I wish you could all feel the material and how soft it is.

The pillow is awesome and is the perfect toddler size of 12 x 16" and 3" high.  The inserts are custom made and lightly filled with 100% non-allergenic polyester fiberfill.  The pillowcase fabrics differ depending on which one you choose but there is -  soft and durable 100% cotton flannel, 320 thread count cotton, percale cottons, or satin pillowcases for the ultimate luxury.  Best of all they are machine washable.  The blankets are sewn with 100% cotton flannel that only gets softer with each wash and you can even personalize them with your child's name on them.
