We all know Baby Bjorn for their carriers and some of us even know them for their bouncy seats, but did you know they carry other things like this awesome baby plate and spoons. The Baby Bjorn plate and spoon make it easier for kids to eat by themselves. The plate is in a three leaf clover shape with deeper sides to make it easier for kids to scoop up their food without it falling off the edge of the plate or even worse your poor kid chasing it around in circles on their plate while trying to scoop it up. The plate has a rubber base to be sure that it stays put on the table, and the shape makes it harder for kids to shove it off the table.
If you look in the picture above you will see the spoon has a shorter handle to make it easier for your kids to control getting the spoon from the plate to their mouth without losing a bite. It is designed to make picking up the food easier and to work with the shape of the spoon. The spoon can be used with either hand and still feel natural and is available for purchase seperatly. The plate and spoon are dishwasher safe and can be heated in the microwave.
The Baby Bjorn plate is available in the following colors Ocean Blue, Spring Green, Sunflower, Bright Red (the one i got and pictured above), Pink and Snow white. The entire process of the creation of the Baby Bjorn plate and spoon took four years and they both underwent countless tests by families with small children as well as testing facilities.
Maddisyn loves her plate, although it is deep enough we were able to feed her cereal in it as well for the little amount she eats. For the first time in such a long time I did not have to mop my floor directly after supper because she threw her plate on the floor out of frustration. She hated chasing her food around her plate and I can totally understand that, being 2 she does not know any better way. The spoon was amazing in her little hands, prior to this she used a normal sized spoon and because of the length of the handle she could never get it from bowl/plate to spoon with a spoonful of food. Our normal breakfast time takes 30 min because she only gets half bites. This morning it took us 15 minutes and she was done and gone to play.
